AKANA INTERIM LEADERSHIP

Dr. Crispus Ombui, DNAP, CRNA

Dr. Ombui serves as the Interim Vice President of AKANA, bringing seven years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) practiced primarily in the Midwest.

He holds a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice and a Master of Science in Anesthesiology from Barry University, alongside a B.S. in Nursing from Minnesota State University–Mankato. Dr. Ombui also possesses advanced expertise in Acute Surgical Pain Management, having earned a specialized certificate from the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia.

A dedicated advocate for global outreach, Dr. Ombui frequently participates in medical missions to Kenya, delivering essential anesthesia services to patients in resource-limited environments.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Ombui is a husband and father of three. His interests include running, hiking, camping, and enjoying movies with his children.

Dr. Ombui firmly believes that through teamwork and shared purpose in AKANA, we can achieve greater heights and provide essential care to those who need it most.
