Florence Zilko is a California-based Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and the Interim President of AKANA. With over seven years of experience, she specializes in providing expert anesthesia care for OB/GYN, General Surgery, and Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA) cases.
A passionate advocate for global health, Florence has served as a Team Lead and recruiter on over four medical/surgical mission teams, delivering essential care from the U.S. to underserved communities in Kenya. She is also deeply committed to mentorship for teens and young adults, bringing a strong foundation of leadership and service to her role at AKANA.
I am also deeply committed to charitable work, having participated in multiple medical missions to Kenya, where I helped deliver surgical and anesthesia care in resource-limited settings.
Outside of my professional life, I am a husband and father of three. My interests include running, hiking, camping, and enjoying movies with my children.
I firmly believe that through teamwork and shared purpose in AKANA, we can achieve greater heights and provide essential care to those who need it most.
