AKANA INTERIM LEADERSHIP

Dr. Stephen Okoth is the Interim Education Director for AKANA. He is an accomplished Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with clinical experience dating back to his graduation in 2017.

His academic credentials include a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Old Dominion University, a Master of Science in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania, where he also completed his nurse anesthesia training, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Edison State University.

A commitment to academic excellence led Dr. Okoth to serve as a full-time faculty member and Clinical Instructor at the York College of Pennsylvania/WellSpan Health Nurse Anesthetist Program from 2021 until his recent family relocation to Colorado. This experience, which included presenting on his doctoral work regarding CRNA deployment during the COVID-19 crisis, makes him uniquely qualified to lead AKANA’s educational initiatives. Dr. Okoth currently maintains clinical practice as a locum CRNA.
